About Jessica
Jessica Shaffer is a professional Sales & Leadership Coach and Team Leader with Southwestern Consulting, drawing on over 17 years of experience in banking and finance and more than six years of coaching professionals across industries.
She helps high performers and sales leaders remove the mental and technical roadblocks that keep them from reaching their full potential — guiding them to lead with clarity, confidence, and calm.
Jessica believes lasting growth doesn’t happen overnight, it happens daily. Inspired by John Maxwell’s words, “You will never change your life until you change something you do daily,” she helps her clients build the habits, structure, and mindset that sustain success over time.
Her clients describe her as a true partner, equal parts strategic and grounded, who asks thoughtful questions, gives honest feedback, and unapologetically calls them to greatness.
Before coaching, Jessica built a successful career as a top-producing sales professional and leader in the financial industry. That experience taught her the importance of performance with heart, achieving results that feel as good as they look on paper.
Outside of work, Jessica is a fitness enthusiast who loves weight training, hot yoga, and spin. She finds joy in traveling the world with her family, reading with her two Boston Terriers nearby, and serving her community as treasurer for the Episcopal Church of the Nativity and as a supporter of local non-profits serving the homeless and food insecure in Grand Junction, Colorado.
Jessica has been hitched to her partner in mischief, Dan, for over 17 years, and together they’re raising two amazing kids they’ve decided they just might keep.
Jessica is the accountability coach and true cheerleader to help your business grow. I have been working with Jess for over a year and a half now, and when I first started with her, I was riding the rollercoaster of business going up and down from inconsistent work and no clear vision of where I wanted my business to get to. After the first six months, I felt like I was given the cheat sheet to communicating with clients more effectively with someone holding me accountable to put in the daily/weekly work that I set as a goal for myself. Before coaching, my average yearly sales was around the 3 million mark, after a year I jumped to over 11 million.
